Archaeologists have found builders’ village in the neighborhood of Stonehenge

Archeologists are convinced that people lived in these places not constantly, but only during religious holidays and funerals. Scientists declare, that this, largest in territory of British Isles neolith, settlement has been constructed 2600-2500 B.C. This time coincides with prospective date of construction of a Stonehenge.
The Stonehenge is the most ancient monument of the last centuries in territory of the Great Britain. It is located in the area of a county Wiltshire, near to city Salisbury. The Stonehenge represents a construction from 82 five-ton megaliths, 30 stone blocks in weight on 25 tons and 5 huge stones which weight reaches 50 tons.
Some archeologists specify complexities in an establishment of exact date of occurrence on our planet of a Stonehenge because this mysterious construction not once was reconstructed. The scientists are assured, those builders, and then the visitors of a Stonehenge lived in the village.
Today the researchers have dug out only eight buildings, but excavation proceeds, using the special geophysical equipment, archeologists have defined, that in this district it is possible to find out other inhabited constructions. They assume, that the neolith village consisted, at least, of hundred houses.
The houses which have been found out by archeologists are insignificant on the area - about 25 square meters. They have been made of wood, and the floor has been covered by clay. In the middle of the house the center settled down. Researchers have found out 4600-years dust scattered on a floor, pottery, pieces and also of animals’ bones.
Scientists consider that people visited this village in days of religious celebrations and funeral ceremonies. Thus, the Stonehenge is one of the most ancient pilgrim centers on the Earth.
Researchers are assured, that grandiose neolith banquets occurred here. In the middle of winter people gathered here and consumed a significant amount peep, to what heaps of the scattered bones testify. Researchers have not found out any craft equipment in village, there are no also proofs of that inhabitants were engaged here in agriculture.

Archeologists also consider that the Stonehenge was a sacral place for people who worshipped to the ancestors and communicated with souls of the dead.
